Down on "Up"

Apparently, I am not the only one who thinks that Up could be Pixar's first bomb. The NYTimes.com is reporting that some Wall Street "experts" and toy retailers are expecting less than stellar performance of the film. The folks at Cannes don't seem to mind.

I don't have the same confidence in Pixar like in the past. I hated "Ratatouille" and "WALL-E" was just a propaganda movie.

Never saw Ratatouille but I disagree on Wall-E. That first 30 minutes and the space-dance sequence were among the best animated sequences I have ever seen on screen.

branden is on crack when it comes to both ratatouille and wall-E (propaganda movie? WTF?)

but i dunno, considering the state of wall street right now, maybe their concern is a sign that "up" won't do so bad. before they came out i would have predicted that both "toy story two" and "cars" would bomb. i was wrong both times.
